Dill Air Controls acquires valve-maker Exactra | Tire Business
OXFORD, N.C. — Dill Air Controls Products L.L.C. has acquired Exactra Inc., a Brampton, Ontario-based producer of tire-inflating valves and inflating systems for off-the-road (OTR) tires used in mining and construction operations.
"The expertise and equipment from Exactra's many years of experience in the industry are critical to our continued growth," Dill President Brian Rigney said.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Brampton-based Exactra, which specializes in the manufacture of large (LB), super-large (SLB), super-extra-large (SXL) and super-giant bore (SGB) tire-inflating valves, was founded in 1988 by Maurice and Norma Robitaille. Marc Robitaille has been Exactra president for the past 10 years.
Oxford-based Dill Air Controls was founded in 1909 and manufactures TPMS valve stems and valve hardware for various industries, including passenger cars, trucks, trailers, aircraft, off-road refrigeration and the military.
